    A Good Wednesday Night

    Last week sucked BIG TIME.

This week is a complete turnaround.

three things that have made this night very enjoyable:
#1: great night at church. fun, uplifting. and thats somewhat rare these days. that in itself has made tonight great.
#2. listening to real music. I mean, the real stuff. Guys who play with emotion. B.B. King. Buddy Guy. John Mayer. Pat Metheny. Bob Marley.
#3. I have a date to that theater banquet. Her name is Kate. and you guys know her as Jack Butterfield's sister. should be an absolute blast, considering I've seen her once in the past two years.

thank you church, king, guy, mayer, metheny, marley, and kate for an amazing wednesday night.

  • If you can't get the best of us now,
    it's because this is forever

    life has been different.

but somehow that song takes me to the same relaxing-out-of-reality place.

and it gives me good thoughts.

  • "My Spring Break" by Ryan

no. This break was not as good as last years.
no. I will not remember this spring break like I did last years.
no. I didn't get to see most of you.

yes. I did have a productive, fun break.

    here are the key points:

    - I saw Kate Butterfield for the first time in two years. I didn't even realize how much I missed her until I saw her at Main Event. She is an amazing, amazing person.

    - I put together the first guitar that I ever bought, which was laying in pieces down in the garage. It looks like shit but plays amazing. The cool thing is, because its a piece of shit, I have no problem tossing it around and letting Esteban swing it around his shoulder.

    - Synergy recorded a demo of a song that we have been working on for a long time, written by the master himself, Frankie. It took us about two hours to set up and record it, so check out our myspace and have some appreciation for it. It took a lot of work.

    - I watched Wizard of Oz while playing Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) to it. Ask if you want to know more. Basically, they are completly in sync. and its incredible.

    - I talked to a guy who opened for Mars Volta

    - I "discovered" a band that may one day possibly be on the "best 10 bands of all time according to Ryan"  list. That band is: At The Drive-In.  mhm. I love experimental music.

    - Christina came to BOTH of my hockey games. with Joe and Whitney. Do you know how cool that is? I can't even describe it. Try summer-all-the-time-plus-road-trip-with-all-of-your-best-friends-with-sonic-drinks-plus-beach-parties-plus-warped-tour. Think thats cool? Well, it comes close to how cool she is.

so that was basically my break. thank you everyone who called asking me to hang out with them. I really really really appreciate it. I really really really wish I could have been there to hang out with you guys. I know I missed out on a lot. asgfaskgha;lsdfg I really wish I coulda been there.

feel free to call me up and talk to me forever.
